Private markets research.

Asset management, private funds and alternative investments studied as a business to run rather than as a product to buy.

What this area covers

This area looks at how private investment businesses are actually assembled: who the operators are, how a small manager is staffed and administered, what the work costs to run, and which parts of it are bought in rather than built.

It deliberately stops short of structure. What vehicle a strategy would use, and what any of it would require, are questions for counsel rather than for a research pass, and this area records them as questions rather than answering them.

A structure question is written down for counsel, not settled by research.
