Institutional parent

About Build Capital.

An institutional parent being built around four operating fronts and a digital economy platform. This page says what it is for, how it is organised, and what has not been settled yet.

Abstract building frontage geometry — illustrative institutional posture

What it is for

The purpose recorded in the firm's own planning documents is to identify attractive assets and financial needs, structure capital around them, manage risk, and compound capital across private markets, credit, insurance, real assets and digital markets.

The intended shape follows from that: a parent that looks and behaves like an institutional allocator, with the operating work carried by fronts that each answer to a different kind of asset. The parent is not meant to be a brand over a single product.

The order matters as much as the list. Research comes before formation, structure is chosen once the asset is understood, and nothing is published as a view the firm holds until it has been reviewed. That method is set out in full on the approach page.

How it is organised

Four fronts are proposed, and a digital economy platform sits alongside them. These are brand names for kinds of activity. They are not companies, and this page names none.

Brand architecture Not legal entities Research before formation

The four fronts

  • Build Capital Management - asset management, private funds and fund management.
  • Build Capital Credit - private lending and specialty finance, including premium finance and surety finance.
  • Build Capital Insurance - commercial insurance, specialty programs and agency work.
  • Build Capital Real Assets - real estate, development, acquisitions and infrastructure-related investments.

Liquid Link

Liquid Link is defined in the planning documents as Build Capital's digital economy investment platform, deliberately broader than a single fund, so that different strategies can operate underneath one name.

Brand architecture and legal architecture are kept apart

The names above describe how the work is grouped for a reader. How it will be grouped legally is a separate question, and the firm's own instruction is that the two should deliberately be different rather than mirrored.

What exists internally on the legal side is research, and it says so about itself. The final entities are for securities, lending, insurance and tax counsel to determine, and that work has not been done. So no company name appears on this site, and none should be inferred from a brand name that does.

Where the firm is

Early, and this site is written to say so. It describes what Build Capital is being structured to do, not what it has done. Where a page would ordinarily carry a history, a track of transactions or a set of terms, it carries a reserved slot instead, naming what belongs there and what it waits on.

In practice that means the site carries no figures, no terms and no performance of any kind. A number that cannot be traced to an internal file on disk does not go on a page here, and there are no numbers on this one.
